Sumatera

Sumatera Island

Sumatera is the sixth largest island in the world, located in Western countries for Indonesia. With a total area reaches  443.065,8 km2 and a population of about 42.409.510 inhabitants.

The Island limits as follows :
West : Hindia Ocean
North : Benggala Bay
East : Malaka Strait
south : Sunda Strait

On the island of sumatra province, therea namely:
Aceh, North Sumatera, Riau, West Sumatera, Riau Islands, Jambi, South Sumatera, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung, and Lampung


Populations

In General, the island was inhabited by the Sumatrea, which are divided into Malay, several large tribes, namely Aceh, Batak, Minangkabau, Malay, Besamah, Ogan Komering, Lampung, and.
