Sumatera

Sumatera Island

Sumatera is the sixth largest island in the world, located in Western countries for Indonesia. With a total area reaches  443.065,8 km2 and a population of about 42.409.510 inhabitants.

The Island limits as follows :
West : Hindia Ocean
North : Benggala Bay
East : Malaka Strait
south : Sunda Strait

On the island of sumatra province, therea namely:
Aceh, North Sumatera, Riau, West Sumatera, Riau Islands, Jambi, South Sumatera, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung, and Lampung


Populations

Batak people
In General, the island was inhabited by the Sumatrea, which are divided into Malay, several large tribes, namely Aceh, Batak, Minangkabau, Malay, Besamah, Ogan Komering, Lampung, and. Religion embraced the majority community of Sumatra is Islam, but there is also a Protestant religion, particularly in the areas of Tapanuli. In urban areas, such as Medan, Palembang, Pekanbaru, and encountered a few citizens were Buddhists.

Aceh

Province was already renamed 4 x, which was initially named Aceh Darussalam (1511-1959) next to the name of the once called Aceh special region (1959-2001) and the Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam (2001-2009) and became the province of Aceh (2009-now) is the westernmost province in Indonesia. Banda Aceh, Aceh's capital is


Aceh province autonomy rights provided special area of Government of Indonesia due to the base's history. Aceh is often called the porch of Mecca, since islam first entered through this area. The Kingdom of Samudra Pasai was the first Muslim in Indonesia (around century 14) King of the Iskandar Muda.

Heroes of Aceh
During the colonization of the Netherlands, took place in Aceh War (1873-1942). This war is cited, the costliest war in the Netherlands/colonizers. Famous figures during the Aceh war among others, Tengku Panglima Polim Cik di Tiro, Teuku Umar, Cut Nyak Dien, and there are many other heroes who do a resistance against the Netherlands colonizers cruelty.



Tsunami Aceh
In 2004, on December 26, 2004, Aceh province suffered a natural disaster all-powerful i.e. earthquake and Tsunami Waves give rise to 300,000 inhabitants of the Acehnese to drift and also severe damage around the coastline of Aceh that resulted in the wheel of life Acehnese deactivated. Aceh's economy, fishing is one of the important pillars of economic growth in the province of Aceh; There is also a field of industry, in Aceh are PT. Overview of Jogja


 Yogyakarta (often called Jogja) is a province in Indonesia that is located in the South central part of the island of Java. To the North of Mount Merapi visible which is the most active volcano in the world. To the South of Yogyakarta is Java Sea known as the South seas that has mystical stories, allegedly inhabited by beings who are leading by ghaib a Queen, Nyi Roro Kidul citizens refer to it. Yogjakarta is a special region that still persists in the environment of the Republic of Indonesia.
 Yogyakarta consists of several districts including: Bantul district; Sleman Regency; Kulon Progo Regency; Regency Of Gunung Kidul; and the city of Yogyakarta. The province of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono was led by x. Jogja is one haven for tourists. With the hospitality community combined with an ancient Javanese culture still cling tightly around Yogyakarta citizens

Overview about this TUGU
Tugu Jogja Yogyakarta city landmark is the most famous. The monument is situated right in the middle of the intersection, Jalan Pangeran Mangkubumi General Soedirman, and Sangaji a.m Street Diponegoro. Tugu Jogja that was almost 3 centuries meaning in simultaneously having stores some recording history of Yogyakarta city.
